My week that was [15]

My week that was

A slightly less busy week this week…

Monday
We had a last shopping trip with my mum so that she could pick up some more presents to take back to the UK.

Tuesday
Hubby took the day off work so that my mum and I could go into Boston buggy free and go to the Museum of Fine Arts – one of my all time favourite places! It was a lovely sunny, warm day too so we had a wonderful time visiting the gallery and then wandering around central Boston and sitting in the sun.

Wednesday
My mum went home today :( We’ve had a lovely time though, and she’ll be back again soon, hopefully for the 6yo’s birthday! We headed downtown for the wee girls music class and my mum had a wander round the local gift shops while we went to class. After that it was home to pick up boys and for my mum to finish packing before going to the airport.

Thursday
A quiet day today. Feeling a bit down with mum going home, but straight back to routine with the kids!

Friday
Took the 4yo to the Kids Club in town, he had a great time! As did the wee girl – fearless is the word I would use to describe her. Scooting off on her bum, right into the thick of things with only the odd backward glance, trying to join in. I’m amazed she didn’t get squashed or stepped on as I spent the hour running after her :) Friends came round for drinks and pizza in the evening, which was lovely. A few too many glasses of fizz consumed along with good chat :)

Saturday
Swimming lessons for the boys in the morning and then hubby took them out to the park in the afternoon. They then went to help out in the 6yo’s school community garden, getting it ready for Earth Day celebrations in a weeks time.

Sunday
We headed out shopping to let the 4yo spend some of his birthday money. We then went to try and get my phone fixed… And, success! I have been lost without it all week! Once we got back, I went in to town for a couple of hours of peace and quiet with a cup of tea and my book. It was a much needed break! A nice quiet evening with a glass of wine and some TV with hubby.

  1. I’m sorry you had to say goodbye to your mum. It must be difficult. It sounds like you’ve had a lovely time together though.
Looks like you’ve had another fun filled week. You’ve encouraged me to look into groups and classes my children will be able to join when big enough :-) xx

    1. It was tough, but she’ll hopefully be out again in June! I’m glad you’re looking at classes – I’ve found them really helpful, bringing a bit of structure to my week, and making sure that even when I don’t really feel like facing the small talk thing, I have to go! Will link up again later :) xx
