It’s been a funny week. It was Veteran’s Day on Monday, so a long weekend for us (although I think of them more as short weeks now…). The weekend was lovely and busy and went by awfully quickly!
We’ve had rainy, grey days.
Tuesday saw the first flurries of snow.
Wednesday the blue sky was back, but it was -4C for the school run in the morning.
Winter is most definitely on it’s way.
Gardening has consisted entirely of clearing leaves!

All these bags, plus two bins, will be collected today… And we’ll start all over again at the weekend!

But it wouldn’t be How does your garden grow? without a few trees!

Can you feel the winter in the air?

I LOVE how your leaves are not soggy and they are perfect for jumping in!!! Feeling jealous! Love those hard working kids, but those are a lot of leaves. I bet you could have some fun with a leaf blower.
Lots of our neighbours have leaf blowers and they do look fun :) we’ve been lucky weather wise so far, so the leaves are nice and dry!
So many leaves, I can’t quite imagine how much work that all is! (luckily!)
Loving the tall naked trees and that last photo is just wow, I’d be camped out under there all day – even at -4 degrees!*
*may be a bit of an exaggeration
Thanks ever so much for joining in again :)
There are a lot of leaves, we’ll be raking again at the weekend :) Just hoping it doesn’t rain, then it gets all slippy and yucky!
Thanks for hosting xx
those red leaves are just gorgeous! and yay for jumping in leaf piles!!! except you have to rake…
Thanks! The leaves are fun to crunch through, but not so fun to rake :)
i am SO jealous of the colours and the light you have in the states. Its so much nicer than here.. the photographer in me just wants to move now!
It is beautiful – although the light can be quite harsh at times and wash photos out a bit! Ah, we’re never satisfied are we :)
Beautiful photos – the reds are stunning and wow, them leaves… how tempting to just jump into the piles haha! x
Thanks! The kids love the big piles, it is impossible to resist jumping in them :)
blimey, so many leaves! how do you even keep up with them, it looks exhausting! lovely photos of the trees against the bright blue sky… -4C though… brrrr! x
We don’t! Actually, hubby does a good job trying :) The coldest it got last winter was about -30C with windchill…!
I love the colors that are left and the bare trees tell their own tale. What wonderful ‘help’ to rake up all those leaves!
Thank you. The kids love messing around in the leaves, it’s a win-win!
Ha! We did the same today – raking leaves is so much more fun with kids, and it looks like you had as big of a mess as us.
There are a lot them – and more again already! The kids enjoy helping, so that’s a bonus :)
Beautiful photos Sara and so many leaves!!! Looks like lots of fun for the kids though, used to love jumping in leaves (probably a bit old for it now!). Love all the sunny shots and the red leaves, always a favourite :)
Thank you Charly! The kids have been having fun!
Wowsers, those are some leaf piles! I’d love to jump in them.
They are pretty huge! Kids love them :)
