According to my 7yo, I am now old. Very old.
Personally, I’m not feeling old right now, I’m feeling pretty good :) I’ve had a lovely weekend celebrating my 40th birthday.
A calmer celebration than I might have had back in the UK, but lovely nonetheless.
After following the instructions, I found my self wearing a tiara and a sash… Slightly more hen night than birthday – but hey, I avoided it on my hen night, so why not now?!
My boys and girl gave me lovely presents, I got lots of cards from the UK and the boys made me a gorgeous (very pink) cake – although I think that the little boys probably weren’t too much help to my big boy – who really did make a wonderful job of the cake!
There were balloons and fizz, a lovely lunch (with the added bonus of a sneaky maragrita…), lots of fun and laughter.
I couldn’t have asked for more.
