The theme from Tara for The Gallery this week is Back to School.
My 7yo went back to school last week, a little nervous and apprehensive, but excited.
My 4yo went back to pre-school yesterday, happy and excited, enthusiastic and cheerful. He loves school and couldn’t wait to get back. I had a little bundle of hyperactivity to deal with yesterday morning!
As for me: I’m a little sad that the summer is over, we’ve had a lot of fun; I’m glad to be getting back into routine; I’m relieved at the thought of quieter days; I’m worried about the wee girl missing her brothers but, I’m looking forward to some one-on-one time with her; I’m happy to be starting our morning activities again, swimming, music, coffee and chat; I’m excited for the boys and their new year, new experiences and new challenges; I’m hopeful of a little more time for me; I’m thankful for a wonderful summer.
I cherish the memories we have made. I look forward to making more.
I relish watching my children develop and grow; I admire their capacity for learning and their thirst for knowledge; I love their enthusiasm, excitement and joy.
I hope I can encourage and support. I hope that they continue to find the fun. I hope that this year engages and inspires them.
I can’t wait to see what comes next on this incredible journey.

I feel the same I enjoy the routine of the school day but I miss having my boys around, oh well it’s been a great summer so time to count my blessings.
Absolutely. I enjoyed summer far more than I expected to if I’m honest, still getting used to the SAHM thing, so I was quite sad to see it end. But, I am enjoying getting back into routine!
I hate my son going back to school, but as you say it does have some advantages.
Indeed :) We just need to make the most of the weekends now!

They are both such a credit to you to go off to school so happily. After a big move last year, you’ve clearly made them feel safe and secure in their new life. What a fab mummy you are. Here’s to some happy girly days, and yes a little more me-time perhaps! xx

Thank you :) The wee girl seems to be doing ok so far, but goodness me, she flings herself at the boys once they’re home from school!
