There is something perfectly summery about playing in water. Whether swimming, splashing, having a water fight or simply dancing in sprinklers.
On our recent visit to Storyland in New Hampshire, there was a lot of water play! Water rides, splash battles and of course, taking advantage of the splash pad.
The children know where these sprinklers are and make a beeline for them.
In fact, we had to drag them away eventually!
The squeals of delight as they ran through them trying to dodge them.
The laughter as they stood right above a jet, waiting for the fountain to get them in the face.
The pure joy of running through water, something that crossed the ages and saw all three children losing themselves in the moment.
So much fun to be had from something so simple. A reminder of the ordinary joy to be found everywhere. A wonderful moment to witness.

water gives so much simple pleasure, and these pictures are delightful. all the happy faces, I can hear the laughter ringing out of them.
There are some of these at the Kelpies in Falkirk but the day we were there with the children they were not switched on.
Splash pads are brilliant, and really do give such simple joy!
we have fountains like this dotted around Dubai, however as I’m child free i don’t get to play in them which is a shame as i could do with a cool down every now and then
