Thankfully we made the most of the weather last weekend as it’s rained every day this week!
We decided to have our first picnic of the year, in the back garden – simple, quick and according to our 4yo – the best day ever!
All the kids love ‘picnic’ meals, as do we. Fresh bread, cheese, cold meats, crisps, fruit… Hubby and I quite often have a picnic for dinner :)
The boys got stuck in straight away as the wee girl looked on, deciding what to go for first!
She then ate anything and everything she could get her hands on!
And she learnt how to blow bubbles!
A lovely afternoon in the garden – the scooters came out, the wee girls walker had its first outdoor adventure, there was good food and lots of laughing, there were bubbles – a perfect lazy Sunday in the sun.

Thank you! I can’t get over how good she was at blowing them! I’m fairly sure it took the boys a lot longer to work out ‘blowing’ as opposed to spluttery spitting :)

we adore having picnics in our garden too – we do it about once a week and all the cuddly toys join us and there isn’t much room left on the picnic blanket for anyone else!! the bubble blowing pictures are lovely – just simple things which bring so much pleasure and make for great photos x
I hope that this one was the first of many over the summer :) It’s nice to stay close to home sometimes and just relax, enjoying simple games together xx

My wee man is becoming a fan of picnics but that is because that usually means he gets to eat crisps! What a lovley afternoon. Bubbles are the best fun and I carry some in my bag these days!

Thank you! The blanket is great – it was a snap purchase (although we have several at home, none of them made it into our shipment…), but it’s perfect :)
