As we come to the end of term, I have begun going through the mountain of paper that has made it’s way home from the (now!) 7yo’s school over the year (this is before the ‘two sturdy bags’ that I had to send in this week are filled and brought home too…!).
I have started to come across lots of the robust vocabulary work sheets (the one below came home last week) and now that I read them again, some of them are quite entertaining!
This particular one stood out because of the rather terrifying happy faces…

Joy is such a nice word for them to add to their vocabulary. Having a party would certainly make you feel joyful and breaking your toy would indeed make you sad!
Some of the others that I have come across have interesting examples and non-examples too… Future posts perhaps!
I’m linking up to Actually Mummy’s Wot So Funee linky again this week. Click on the badge below to have a giggle at some fun posts.

What a lovely way of expanding vocab!
It’s good isn’t? And some of the examples/non-examples do make for interesting reading :)
hahaha love the scary / happy faces…
They are indeed scary!
Those are really very disturbing ‘faces – they remind me of Mexican Wrestlers. I’d totally feign happiness if one of them required it :D
He he, they do look like that don’t they? To be honest, they freaked me out a little!
Brilliant faces, they made me laugh! Love the idea of helping to expand their vocab! :)
I’m glad – they scared me a little :) It is a great way to reinforce new words.
