We have just had the most amazing week away.
It’s the first time we’ve managed a family holiday, just us, since the wee girl was born.
It’s been a busy year or so!
We needed to take some time out, to relax and recharge, to simply have fun.
And, we had so much fun.
I can’t remember the last time we laughed so much, had so few arguments, so few meltdowns.
Not a single ‘I’m boooored!’ from either of the boys. That is unheard of :)
This photo says it all, we were together, our family of five, and we had a blast!
Holding tight; holding each other; supporting, encouraging, strengthening. Revitalising.
There was something for everyone, no one was left out. Our little girl got stuck in, fearless, chasing her brothers. The 4yo, excited by everything, found pleasure in the smallest things – finding an ant, hitting a tennis ball, going for a swim, flying through the air. The 7yo, all grown up, able to queue and ride by himself. So pleased, so proud.
