I look out at these trees from my front porch. The green has been changing to yellow and is now deepening to burnished gold. In the bright blue of a gorgeous autumn day, the leaves glow against the sky.
They are beautiful.
The vibrancy of the leaves, even as they are getting ready to fall and make way for winter, is simply stunning. I took so many photographs of trees last Fall, I wondered if I would do the same again this year.
I have; I simply cannot resist!
After a week of grey and rain, the clouds lifted and we had two glorious days of deep blue skies. It was warm and didn’t feel much like autumn, but surrounded by the magical colours of a New England Fall, it was impossible to forget the season.
Fall seemed to arrive over night this year; suddenly the reds and golds and pinks surrounded us. Many trees are already revealing their branches, and giving us a hint of the winter to come.
But, as long as we have these blue sky days, I will continue to enjoy the wonder that is this riot of colour.

Oh did you do this last year i remember gawking at your garden with green eyes at all those wonderful trees, the colours and the structure and all against the crystal clear and bright blue sky, absolutely love the pictures and again i have green eyes.
I did post lots of photos last year as well, can’t resist the trees :)

I’m so pleased that you are still taking pictures this autumn. I always think the same, do I really need another picture of a dew covered web, a close up of a leaf… the answer of course is always yes. Each one is unique and never quite the same as another. Happy Autumn!
