Alphabet Photography Project: R is for Running

R is for Running

Following on from my Q is for Quick photo last week, more Running this week!

It was sometime last summer that I realised that all three children now spend a significant amount of their time with their back to me, running away, as this photo (taken after a trip to the beach in Breakheart Reservation) demonstrates.

Sometimes in a because running is the best thing ever  kind of a way.

Sometimes in a because you asked me to stop  kind of a way.

But always with childish abandon and glee.

I can actually hear the screeching and giggling as I look at this photo. The wee girl striding ahead, briefly. Her brothers encouraging her, shouting come on!

The squeals of delight.

We may even have made it back to the car without anyone falling over… Actually, probably not!

I would be thrilled if you would considering nominating me in the MAD Blog Awards.

I love that your daughter is in the lead… I expect she has a lot of encouragement from her brothers!

  2. Lucas says – AWESOME photo – they look like they’re having a really cool time. Sendign them XL MEGA High-5’s :)

  3. Fab photo Sara, there is nothing better that watching kiddies running have fun and hearing their laughter. Children laughter really is one of the most beautiful sounds there is x

  4. Aw! This is such a lovely photo!
That looks like a cycle track near me. I love going for a walk where the kids can just go run off and feel free.

Well, they were moving so fast, the photo was slightly out of focus anyway, so I ‘enhanced’ that a little :)

  5. Lovely photo! My little one is only 14 months and she’s not even walking yet but I still have more pictures of her with her back to me than not! :)

  6. How perfect!!! There is something about a scene like this that reminds me of my own childhood and how I imagined being a parent would feel like – seeing your children run ahead of you together. Just lovely!! Thank you so much for linking up to #MyCapturedMoment xx
