I sit in the shadow of an ancient tree,
the dappled shade, dancing
at my feet.
The sounds of the forest surrounding me,
hushed,
yet silencing my concerns.
The gentle breeze lifting hair from my face,
caressing, comforting.
Refreshing my view.
I sit on the sun drenched sea shore,
the gentle waves, lapping
at my feet.
The sounds of the sea calming me,
hushed,
yet drowning out all worry.
The scent of salt water filling my senses,
tantalizing, alluring.
Restoring my balance.
I sit on a bench in the luminous white space,
the spotlights, converging
at my feet.
The sounds of the gallery whispering to me,
hushed,
yet enveloping me in a hum of joy.
The beauty and colour captivating me,
dazzling, mesmerising.
Reviving my soul.

You have a lovely way of conveying peace and tranquillity in your poems, which is just beautiful. As you read it you get a sense of lilting away into a happy, calmer place. Love it.
Funny I love a good art gallery too, and although it can be busy that sense of being lost in a painting with a faint hum of voices around you does, as you say, revive the soul.
