I’m thrilled to be featuring over on the fabulous Collecting Moments blog with my thoughts on parenthood and kindness.
Collecting Moments is the most wonderful blog, full of wise words and inspirational thoughts. I’ve been following Maria’s blog since she began writing, and I love her heartfelt, lyrical posts. Maria is generous with her time and her insight. Her words, both in her own posts and the comments she leaves on other blogs, always resonate.
I was so pleased to be asked to share my thoughts for her parenthood and kindness series, and Maria’s questions really made me think about what kindness means to me, and what I want to teach my children.
I want my children to understand that there is a difference between simply not being unkind, and taking the time to be actively kind…Being kind is about taking time. Time to notice the little things. It’s about being proactive and aware. It’s about looking outwards as well as inwards. At its very simplest, it’s about making someone smile.
To read more of my thoughts on kindness please head over to Maria’s blog, and while you’re there, do have a read of her wonderful words!

I love that my children are kind, I havent taught them really but it seems natural to them :)
