In a moment of anger,
through a haze of scarlet,
I see destruction born
of fire and obsession and blood
and I feel remorse.
In a moment of strength,
through a cloud of crimson,
I see power born
of fear and courage and loss
and I feel humbled.
In a moment of excitement,
through a veil of rose,
I see romance born
of heat and excitement and love
and I feel brave.

Poem captures Red in its core. Our lives are painted with different shades of red, making us feel the whole pallete of emotions as you wrote.

Superb! Short but very sweet. Really well written too. Sx
A genius way to illustrate the different emotions (and consequences) that red can make us feel. Very cleverly written. Genius in fact Sara! Thanks for hosting #prose4t :)
Red is such an emotive colour and I think you’ve captured many shades of feeling here. I love the structure and the depth of feeling conveyed.
