The Prompt: Messenger

The Prompt 132: Messenger

There’s a whisper on the wind that speaks of wisdom,
bringing insight to those who read
between the lines.
There’s a murmur in the trees that speaks of magic,
bringing relief to those who listen
to the silence.
There’s an angel on my shoulder who speaks of compassion,
bringing grace to those who ask
for redemption.
There’s a messenger at my table who speaks of ideas,
bringing hope to those who seek
a better world.

  1. I love the repetition and the hopefulness of this poem. My favourite is the first verse and the way you’ve used common phrases in a less common way.
