Ordinary Moments: my beautiful three

There are moments when I look at my three children and I just smile.

Those moments where I catch them unawares.

When they are sitting quietly, snuggled together, happy in the moment.

The wee girl, as always, resolutely copying her big brothers.

No shouting, no screeching, no jumping, no bouncing. No fighting. Just companionable silence.

It doesn’t happen all that often, and it doesn’t last for long! But it is wonderful to see.

They may fight, as siblings do, but they are also fiercely protective of each other and the sound of them giggling is one of the best sounds, ever.

My three, firm friends, together. That’s what my magical moments are made of.

I am linking up with Mummy Daddy Me for the first time this week for Ordinary Moments. I absolutely love the idea of this linky, capturing those ordinary, extraordinary moments. It’s one of the main reasons I started this blog, and why I continue to love writing; recording all the big and small things that my children, and we as a family, do.

There is something so special, even magical, of those quiet moments when you can watch your kids unawares.

  2. What a lovely trio, and I get the impression that the might be a force to be reckoned with – you definitely wouldn’t want to mess with them!

What a lovely photo. As a parent with two boys then a girl like you, I can totally relate to what you are saying. They do argue and fight a lot, but they are all so special and those moments when they are just enjoying each other’s company are priceless.

  4. Calm moments, when all three are quietly sitting together is definitely a magical moment! :) Stopping over from #MagicMoments

  5. What a beautiful photo and even more beautiful words. I completely agree with you, that’s why I started blogging too. To capture those little moments I might otherwise forget. I bet amidst the chaos, it is wonderful to capture those quiet, peaceful times! x
