The theme for this weeks The Gallery is inspirational women.
This is an easy one for me. Although there are many public figures who inspire, no one has inspired me more than my mother.
She has strength, wisdom, integrity and courage. She gives me perspective. She taught me to work hard, take responsibility and what is important.
She is the most wonderful Granny.
She is my friend.
She is also an intensely private person, who I will rarely mention on this blog (as it is not anonymous) and her stories are not mine to tell. She does however read it, so – mum, I may not often mention you here, but that does not mean that you are not a hugely important part of our lives. I simply respect your privacy. Love you.
