The wii-ldlife…

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am in a perpetual state of screen-time guilt.

I would love to get my boys away from the TV/DS/iDevice/Kindle/Wii (we have far too many devices!) more than I do, but when we finally get home from school and activities, and homework is done, they are both so tired that it’s sometimes difficult to drum up enthusiasm for anything else.

And, let’s face it, by then I’m exhausted too!

A bit of TV allows me to get dinner made without a child hanging off my leg or pestering me for snacks :)

However, a sign that perhaps they’ve been playing on the Wii a little too much could be this:

Mummy, look at the squirrels, they’re playing Super Mario Brothers…

What do you think?!

I’m linking up to Actually Mummy’s Wot So Funee linky again this week. Click on the badge below to have a giggle at some fun posts.

  1. love it :) We put a DVD on most nights whilst I’m getting dinner ready, otherwise I have 2 clingons too!

Oh dear, that’s funny – what an imagination – those squirrels sound awesome!! #funee

totally have the same problem with too much screen time – and they seem to relate everything to what they do online too! Mine love moshi monsters so everything they talk about ends up related to what they’ve been doing on moshi. xxx

    1. Ah, yes! Moshi monsters! We went through the same with them :) It’s a tough one, but I do try not to give myself too hard a time about it – my oldest reads and plays a lot of problem solving games on his Kindle, to there is educational stuff in there too :) Sometimes…!
