I have been absent from How does your garden grow? again. This has been the longest winter ever! I haven’t felt particularly inspired by the outdoors. Then, suddenly, it was as if Spring had sprung overnight.
Blossom appeared. Everywhere. It is so beautiful, so refreshing, such a relief!
I cannot begin to tell you how much I needed to see leaves on the trees, blossom bursting from buds, flowers blooming; to see colour and sunshine.
The sight of pretty blossom; from white, to the palest of pink, to red and gold; makes me smile and warms my heart after this long, cold winter.
And, although the blossom is already fading; a carpet of petals will soon litter the pavements; it is a sign of the summer to come, and I am looking forward.

Awww thanks for sharing such bright blooms and sky! It is raining hard since yesterday and everything is so gloomy. Photos like these are nice to see in a gloomy day =) #HDYGG
They do cheer you up, don’t they?!
Oh, I so love pictures of blossom. They instantly make me smile. You’re been waiting long enough for it, too! x
We really have, and I suspect it will be gone as quickly as it arrived!

Aww such gorgeous blossom and you definitely needed it after the winter you’ve had! Bring on the summer hey? xx #hdygg
Definitely!
Love your photos, the first two look like the trees are cover in snow. You must feel like Winter goes on for ever, if it takes until May for things to start blooming. At least you know you’ll get a warm Summer, over here it’s so hit and miss!!
Thank you, it does look like snow doesn’t it?! It has felt like winter went on forever!
A few weeks ago I was looking at everyones photos of blossom on HDYGG and my crabapple tree was still bare :( Then all of a sudden the blossom arrived, followed by the leaves. Hang on in there :)
It happens so suddenly doesn’t it?! I’m so glad I took these photos because the blossom is already fading x
