Grey.
A world faded to grey. Bled of colour. A seemingly endless expanse of white punctuated by shades of grey. Accented by harsh blacks.
With skies grey and heavy with snow; skeletal tree branches stand starkly; the ground is covered in a blanket of white. Even sounds are hushed and muted, grey in feeling and tone.
Winter: desolate, beautiful, freezing. Stunning to all senses.
I’m joining in with Day Two of the wonderful One Week [Winter 2014] over at Older Mum in a Muddle; reflecting on our winter and what it has meant to me. Come back tomorrow for Day Three.

Fabulous post…. and fabulous pictures…. it’s actually really lovely to see a bit of snow – love the photograph of the footprints; that’s what I have missed, crunchy footprints in the snow :o). Thank you for linking up again. X
