I was tagged twice in the ‘I am the mum who…’ meme at the beginning of the summer. Chantelle from Seychelles Mama and Vicky from 29 Year Old Mama both wrote lovely posts, and after a very busy and fun vacation, I have finally written mine.
When I traveled to London in June, for BritMums Live, I was able to spend an extra couple of days in the city after the conference. I caught up with family and enjoyed being a tourist.
Today, work started to replace our roof. It was loud and it was messy, but it was fast and efficient and they made good progress. They worked a long day, finally leaving just before seven o’clock this evening. But not before handing me a box.
It’s been a week since BritMums Live 2015 and it’s taken me this long to gather my thoughts! It was an amazing weekend; full of laughter and friendship, inspiration and expression, discussion and exchange.

My oldest turns nine next week. He will officially become a tween (having sounded like one for the past six months).

The 8yo loves to swim, and since last September has been taking two classes a week (at his request), having moved up to a more advanced pre-swim team class at the YMCA (Junior Fins).
