You may have noticed that we’ve had snow… With six snow days so far, we’re running out of ideas, and we’ve had to get creative in an effort to keep from going completely stir crazy.
Regular readers will know that the wee girl has developed a real love of painting. The paints come out most days; and random, splodgy pictures are produced.
The wee girl has developed a love of painting. Many an hour is now spent splodging paint on to sheet after sheet of paper. Occasionally I try to guide the splodging to create a piece of artwork that we might be able to frame, or at the very least pop on the fridge :)
Before the 5yo started school, Friday was always our big project day. We would choose a theme and we would create. We made paper bag puppets and rocket ships; paper plate animals and lollipop stick fish. We did lots of messy play; with gloop and paint and moon sand. We had fun!
I haven’t been very organised for Halloween this year! But, with less than a week to go it was time to let the kids loose on some simple Halloween decorations.
After our flower hunt in the garden last week the wee girl decided that she wanted to do painting with them!
